Colombia | Travel | Courtland Photography

If you know me, you know I’m all about traveling!

Two years ago I had the privilege to visit the cities of Bogota and Cartagena, Colombia. I’m obsessed with traveling the world and it’s been a while since I’ve shared any travel photography with the world.

My Army friend Fernandez and I have a mutual buddy we met traveling in Nicaragua named Logan. Logan is the definition of a free spirit. Logan works all summer near Calgary as a firefighter and travels all winter in different regions of the world. As luck would have it, he was able to meet Fernandez and I for a few days in Colombia before we continued to Ecuador. After our six short days in Colombia, Logan stayed behind and extended his trip to three months instead of three weeks!

Together we experienced many things throughout this beautiful South American country: We explored dozens of cathedrals, hiked a cliff side path with an incredible view of the city, randomly made friends with a military guide who gave us a private tour of the presidential guard barracks, visited the famous gold museum, took a ton of street dog photos (you know me), made a few friends in our hostels, wandered the old cobblestone streets of Cartagena, and toured the impressive Castillo de San Filipe overlooking the city. It was quite a trip! I can’t wait to spend more time in Colombia.

These photos were taken on the Fujifilm XT-3 paired with three lenses: The 18-55mm f/2.8-4, 10-24mm f/4, and the 23mm f/2.

Enjoy!
