Emily + Nate @ Moss Denver- Colorado wedding photography
September 22, 2018
What a wedding! This day was particularly special because I’ve know the bride since I was five years old. No pressure, right? Nah, we killed it!
Emily’s brother Brandon and I have been friends since kindergarten. We were the Wilson boys- Two Wilsons make a right! We lived close by and went to the same elementary school together, where we always found ourselves getting into some sort of trouble. We had a habit of being sent to the principle’s office on a weekly basis it seemed, but that didn’t stop us from having fun.
Fast forward to today, and we’re still great friends. Once his older sister Emily got engaged, I couldn’t wait to be her wedding photographer. When the Wilson family decided to put their trust in my hands, I was completely honored to tackle this responsibility.
Emily and Nate got hitched at Moss Denver, a lovely newer wedding venue with an urban and industrial feel to it. It’s loaded with scattered moss and large windows that bring in beautiful sunlight, and make for some unique photographic opportunities. We captured an awesome first-look, had ample time for bridal portraits inside the venue, ate delicious food, and partied the night away with close friends and family.
Another unique aspect of their wedding was that they decided to host a puppy drive during their cocktail hour. Four puppies from Lifeline Puppy Rescue were passed around by happy guests for an hour in hopes of finding new homes. It was a great addition to an already epic wedding!
