Faces of El Boqueron
Central America has countless volcanos scattered throughout the region. El Salvador's capital hosts a volcano that overlooks the city named El Boqueron, or "The Big Mouth". The last eruption was in 1917, so people are allowed and encouraged to climb to the summit and take in the wonderful view.
Along the side of the volcano, there's a village with some shops and a small restaurant ran by the local volcano people. They were kind and gracious enough to let me snap some photos of their everyday lives. Here's what I saw.
